Today was interesting. Mum dropped us off for breakfast at Andy's, I had blueberry pancakes with bacon and Sam had an omlette with cheese, bacon, sausage and mushroom, homefries and beans. Then Mum dropped us off at Van Otis. I told Sam that all of the chocolates they had in the place were way too expensive for the quality you get. 2 lbs of fondue chocolate? $35. A pound of assorted chocolates? $23, with gift wrapping $1.50 extra. Mum remembers back when chocolate was $15 a box and the wrapping was free. Sam ended up buying two chocolate lollies (Christmas ones, BOGO) plus a chocolate covered pretzel. Came to $5 ish. We walked back up the road in the freezing cold to the hotel and "defrosted". We went to Quizno's for lunch, Sam had a meatball sub with pickles and a bowl of chili with a root beer. I had a flatbread sandwich (a chicken bacon ranch thing) with baked bbq Lay's and a raspberry flavored water. The water had ice chips floating in it (!!!) so that was nice if a bit odd. We went back to my house and rested for a bit. Then I had to go to work.
Work was busy ish. busy enough so that I couldn't leave the register to do truck, and the amount of truck left to do by the time I came in was about 15 totes, so it wasn't worth it. I was stuck behind the register all day ringing up sales. Sam came in to buy white chocolate pretzels and some iced tea and other stuff and to replace the bag of jelly beans he got for Ted because it sprung a leak. He also popped in with my dinner about 6:15 and I ate it at a quarter of 7. It was BBQ turkey tips with rice and coleslaw. I ate most of it, left the coleslaw and went back out to work until 9, when I pulled my drawer and left.
Not much happening these days, honestly.
