Myriam arrived and we went to Thousand Crane for lunch, I had the 17 piece epic sushi platter for $12.50 (also included miso and a salad which Myriam had as it had a ginger dressing) it was -amazing- squid, haddock, jumbo king prawn, tuna, salmon, egg - even crabstick (well, surimi, but you know what I mean) it was amazingly fresh and tasted wonderful - they don't call it edible art for nothing.
Myriam had the sesame chicken, with next to no rice, and a sad excuse for a spring roll - she also had hot and sour soup - she seemed to enjoy it, so that's the main thing! I think we both enjoyed the crispy noodles and orange sauce more though - haha!
After the $26 meal at Thousand Crane we hopped on the bus to Wal*mart - neither of us wanted to go to Wal*mart, but thought the other did - I wanted to go to Newbury Comics near Stop&Shop - never mind, we grabbed a bite to eat in Barnes and Noble and hot footed back to the bus stop. The driver decided to stop at the Mall for 20 minutes so she could take her children and get a mcdonalds. Yeah, leaving her PAYING passengers on a freezing bus, nice. Anyway, we got back outside the park/hotel where the buses stop, and headed back to Myriams.
My feet at this time got a bit wet and still are a bit damp (Sorry Mum, the ice/snow/whatever managed to cut through - not too much, but enough to make my feet a little wet) so the walk to Myriam's wasn't fun. I'm buying some more shoes tomorrow, when we actually go to Newbury Comics and then to the Mall after. Myriam's mum had made spaghetti for us and kept it hot (as Myriam's dad had left earlier to go to work) it was good, very similar to it is back home but less herbs! (I don't mean amount, I mean types)
After that, we watched Wall-e and I kept falling asleep on Myriam, but I kept getting woken up, which wasn't very nice! Oddly enough I'm not tired now and I'm eating salsa and chips. This salsa is amazing, it's like the UK Doritos one before they changed it and made it rubbish!
All in all, I spent about $35 today, so quite a slow day in terms of money flow! I must try not to spend so much, leave some to last me until next week! tsk!
