But I'm in my room, with 10 bottles of orange vitamin water, some fruit snacks (yes, fruit!) Anyway, back to the beginning! I landed at 4something in the afternoon (this is Eastern time now) waited an hour to get off the plane, then an hour for bags!
The flight wasn't bad, but wasn't -fantastic- either - getting kicked in the head and hit with things by a little 3/4 year old flying with mum and dad, they apologised, a lot. My headphones were phenomenal, literally not a sound other than the movies (in case you wondered, Hellboy 2, Mummy 3 and Deathrace I watched) and seeing people move their mouths at me was weird.
The special meal was given to me FIRST! Even before upper class! :3 it was nice too, spinach/wheat risotto with roast vegetables, a salad, a small loaf of bread (with a small butter knife and stick of butter!) and oddly enough, a block of cheese... Didn't I have the lacto-free meal? Anyway...
After being accosted by FOUR police officers and three security checkpoints, I finally got into America. It's so weird being back, because it's not like I've been gone - both Myriam and I were a bit hesitant, so we didn't make a 'big thing' at the airport. Also, it's not that cold, even with the snow, dunno what they're all whinging about!
I had dinner at Blakes, and had a breakfast omelette, it was good, left the toast, just scoffed the omelette and potato - it was wonderful. Everyone ribbed about having a burger! tsk, not this time - I'm going to eat properly (hence the fruit I bought and vitamin water, and grape juice!)
Anyway, I've tried to take a picture of the view from the Hotel - it's not great (I had to turn all the assists off as the AF lamp reflected in the window, same with the flash etc) I've also taken some of the room and some pine cones for mum, check the Picasa link!
Oh, I had a problem with the internet too - had to phone tech support, god that guy sounded bored. "what operating system are you using" "Mac OS 10" "err, can you say that again?" "Mac OS 10" "ah... what browser does that use?" Yeah, fun, anyway, it all works now :3 I just hope I can upload to picasa!
Right, I'd better get to bed, I am absolutely shattered! Not doing much tomorrow as Myriam is working, boo. Oh, she also has a key to the room too - they asked how many I wanted! Also, as you can see from the photos, yes, my hotel room has a lounge, bathroom (with a coffee machine and coffee in it!) and a HUGE tv. I thought I didn't get a bible, but yeah, it's there, hiding - what is the deal with that?
I also have lots of presents to open, which I might do now, then go have a shower... Ah crap, forgot deodorant, well, I can pick some up tomorrow!
Update: Looks like that was short lived, I managed to get 5 pictures uploaded on to Picasa then it decided it didn't want to upload anymore - upload limits I guess?
