This morning I woke up pretty late in the grand scheme of things, 8:30. Myriam called me at 8:35 when I was getting into the shower and told me her dad was going to pick me up in ten minutes, so I rush and I get ready and get to waiting outside with damp hair, bluegh! Myriam's dad arrives and takes me back to the house. Myriam and I sit for a bit and head out to breakfast - we went to Julian's (I think that's how it's spelt, Myriam will correct it) and I had a "New York" omelette - it was nice, but something fishy there... I think Myriam was hit hardest though - We've both suffered a bit from the eggs, Myriam more so than me though.
We walked from the cafe to the currier art museum and we wandered around for a good few hours and grabbed lunch (an expensive lunch - $12 for soup, half a sandwich and a drink!) it was ok, but not the best lunch ever, we both had chicken tortellini (which was a bit cold for soup), I had half a meatball sub and Myriam had a weird panini - hers had a lot of vegetables in, she didn't enjoy it that much I think, but she had already started suffering from the french toast this morning.
We left the museum and walked back to town, stopped in CVS to grab some things and then Myriam's dad came and collected us. Lindsay was already back at Myriam's, it was nice to see her again. We started to watch National Treasure on Myriam's laptop, and we got a little into it when the family started arriving - it was chaos. I'll probably write more on it tomorrow, but damn. Damn, loud and rowdy and questioning and geez! I was completely wiped after about an hour and then completely exhausted after the dinner, which was fantastic - we had all sorts, stuffed mushrooms, olives, pickles (sweet ones though - which I'm not that keen on) pie, turkey, a gammon, potatoes, bean casserole (basically green beans in mushroom soup with french fried onions as a crust on top, lovely) and much more. It was great. I was prodded, probed, hugged and kissed by lots of loud french canadians - I was worried about how I'd deal with it as I don't do so good with people, but everyone enjoyed it and talking to me, so I'm glad!
I've been naughty and ordered a sandwich from dominos as although I ate at dinner, I feel so drained of energy. tsk! naughty naughty! never mind though :)
Edit: Oh GOD, the domino's sandwich is amazing, it's like god in sandwich form. Oven baked too! I think Myriam would die if she had one of these!
