Casino!

Today I won a $40,000 jackpot and a Corvette ZR1!

Well, actually, what really happened was, I woke up mega early and stood outside waiting for Myriam/her mum/Lindsay to turn up (they were late!) and then we had a 2+ hour coach ride to Christknowswhere in the middle of Connecticut. The coach ride wasn't all bad though as I got to test my new headphones and fall asleep on Myriam's head as she rested it on my shoulder. New headphones are awesome (these are the UltimateEars ones) and block out so much noise. Sound is really good too!

After the agonising coach ride (my knees and feet were killing after being scrunched up against the chair in front...) we got to Foxwoods and it was impressive (Photos will be up of it soon! I couldn't take many as it wasn't allowed) We headed straight to the slots where I won $12 from putting $5 in a Makin' Bacon slot machine, proceeding then to use that $5 in a 1¢ "win this bike" slot machine to win another $50 (to then lose it - didn't win the Harley, sorry Dad!) I think I also managed to lose $20 on the Gold Rush slots too, but I can't remember

We then went to eat at the buffet, it was disappointing, they had a HUGE selection (the seafood was sadly the best of the lot - the freshwater king prawns were AMAZING) but the food was overall crappy, I didn't really enjoy it...

I then managed to win some money on the Wizard of Oz slot machines ($40 from putting in $20!) then to lose it in the Wheel of Fortune Machine (had over $60 winnings at one point!) Then I had another sucky round in another 1¢ machine, then I pretty much gave up!

Myriam seemed to love the slots, she was pretty good at it too - I can see her in about 40 or so years heading to the casino on a regular basis and spending away her pension still trying to make it big - hahaha! I did notice, the more you bet on the slots, the more you win and it lulls you into thinking you can win loads, before it saps all of your cash! Cheeky!

I didn't mind losing, because I'd already set that money aside (as in, I knew I was going to lose it!) so I had fun, I think the day was much too long (should've ended at 2/3 at the latest) and I am exhausted now, but it was an experience!

I'm back at the hotel now, I have a bag of jerky and a glass of root beer and soon I'll hop on the bed, flip on HBO and play Warpgate HD on my iPad. I was tempted to order some pasta or something, but I don't -need- it, plus Myriam and I can always have something awesome for lunch tomorrow (I'm tempted to say 'The Red Arrow' as I quite fancy a burger!) Sorry, it turned into food again!
